CORBIN – Two Ohio residents were arrested Thursday, April 1, following a drug investigation by Operation UNITE.

Working in conjunction with the Corbin Police Department, detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Carter Street in Woodbine about 4:30 p.m.

Officers recovered approximately 1 ounce of suspected cocaine, 10 Hydrocodone pills and 15 Oxycodone pills.

“Chief David Campbell facilitated the search by allowing his K-9 unit to assist our detectives,” said Dan Smoot, law enforcement director for UNITE. “Later his officers transported the two suspects to the Whitley County Detention Center.”

Arrested were:

• Marvin Partin, age 40, of Dayton Ohio, one count each of first-degree trafficking in controlled substance and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Franklin Roberts, age 66, of West Alexander, Ohio, one count first-degree trafficking in controlled substance.

Smoot said the investigation began about one month ago after police received a tip of suspected drug activity at the home, which was apparently rented by Partin.
