Investigations

Drug Tip Line
Citizen tips are key to helping UNITE – and all other law enforcement agencies – stop illegal drug activity. You can report tips anonymously by calling 1-866-424-4382. For more information, click here.

Medication Drop Boxes / Drug Take-back Days
To make it easier for citizens to dispose of their expired or unwanted medications – both prescription and over-the-counter – medication drop boxes are available throughout the UNITE service region in conjunction with police agencies and local governments. For more information, click here.

UNITE Detectives
Although no longer able to initiate street-level investigations as has been done in the past, UNITE is very much committed to supporting law enforcement efforts. Two detectives are assigned as Special Agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and a third detective manages UNITE’s Medication Drop Box program, oversees the toll-free Drug Tip Line, and coordinates a “buy money” program to assist local and state law enforcement agencies. KASPER
The Kentucky All Schedule Prescription Electronic Reporting system is one of the most effective tools for doctors to learn about their patients’ medical history. It is also useful to track “doctor-shoppers” and determine if someone is illegally obtaining medications through false prescriptions. For more information, click here.
