HUNTINGTON, WV – Attorneys general from three states led a conference of pastors, health care professionals, law enforcement officers and advocates to energize efforts within their states to combat drug addiction.

Operation UNITE President/CEO Nancy Hale participated on a panel focusing on treatment and recovery as part of the gathering, held October 27, 2016, at the New Life Church in Huntington, West Virginia. UNITE also provided information about its prevention/education initiatives and set up its Hope Wall as part of the day-long event.

In show of bipartisanship, attorneys general Andy Beshear (D-KY), Patrick Morrisey (R-WV) and Mike DeWine (R-OH) shared efforts being undertaken in their states and reiterated that substance abuse affects families at all levels.

“I’d like to think that as parents and as concerned adults, we can rise above any of the divisiveness in our country right now and address something that threatens all of our children,” Beshear told the approximately 350 attendees.
