Operation UNITE’s 13th annual Camp UNITE is being held July 23-26 at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg. Nearly 200 youth from 29 southern and eastern Kentucky counties were registered to attend. More than 150 volunteers will assist UNITE staff in providing programming during the four-day, three-night Camp.

Staff and volunteers arrived on campus Monday, July 22, for registration, orientation, and to begin setting up the activities. Click here to view photos from Monday.

About Camp UNITE

Camp UNITE is a drug awareness leadership and adventure program for youth who completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade during the past school year.

The theme for Camp UNITE 2019 is “UNITE Strong: Stronger Together.” Each person has their own unique strengths and abilities. This theme reflects that working together can help identify and develop not only your strengths, but those of your peers. By combining these strengths we become more successful and have a source of support when facing life’s challenges.

Throughout the week, this message is conveyed through fun, interactive activities that expose participants to new options and opportunities. In addition, time is set aside for introspective discussions and special presentations about the consequences of poor decision-making and ways to avoid making the wrong choices.

Videos and photos from camp will be available on the Camp UNITE webpage.
