Coalition Symposiums

Don’t Stop Believin’ – 2024

Operation UNITE will hold two regional “Don’t Stop Believin'” Coalition Symposiums in August 2024.

This year’s symposiums will bring together members of Operation UNITE’s 33 grassroots community coalitions to focus on prevention and education topics that will empower communities and raise awareness about substance misuse and addiction. There will be ample opportunity for networking during lunch.

Symposiums will be held from 10 am to 2 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at The Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg and Thursday, August 8, 2024, at The Corbin Center in Corbin.

Each UNITE Community Coalition will be able to RSVP for up to eight members for one location. Deadline to register is Friday, July 26, 2024.

2023 Coalition Appreciation Luncheons

Community coalitions are the backbone of Operation UNITE. To show appreciation for the hard work of volunteers from across southern and eastern Kentucky for promoting prevention and treatment initiatives, UNITE held two regional “Bringing Community Partners Together” symposiums in 2023. The luncheon events, which drew more than 300 people from across UNITE’s 33-county service region, were held at The Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg on August 1 and the Eastern Kentucky University-Manchester Campus on August 3. Each location featured a welcome from U.S. Congressman Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-5th), a community partners panel discussion, keynote address, more than 18 exhibitors, and an awards ceremony. There were 131 attendees in Prestonsburg and 134 attendees in Manchester.
