2,250 Kentuckians lost their lives to an overdose in 2021. Fentanyl was involved in more than 70% of these deaths.

Attorney General Daniel Cameron is leading an initiative – “Operation Fight Fentanyl” – where citizens across the Commonwealth, especially those living in rural areas, can discuss the issue, share ideas on how to prevent this crisis from growing, and provide information on what resources are available to those impacted.

“There will be several Town Hall discussions conducted within the UNITE service region,” said Nancy Hale, UNITE President & CEO. “Any citizen may attend any of these forums. We are encouraging as many people as possible to participate and then share information with their family members, friends, and co-workers.”

One of those forums was held in Corbin, Kentucky, on March 15, 2023.
