More than one million lives have been lost since the start of the opioid epidemic. Overdoses and deaths involving synthetic opioids have reached record rates, and every community across our nation is feeling the impact.
The Rx and Illicit Drug Summit is the largest, most influential event addressing this crisis, where strategies are shared and put into action. Our global community includes multidisciplinary stakeholders “from federal to family.” Our mission has become increasingly important, and we can’t afford to lose more lives. It’s time to turn the numbers around.
Led by multidisciplinary experts from across the nation, the 2023 Rx Summit provided the most extensive educational experience for professionals on the frontlines of this epidemic. Approximately 3,000 people from all 50 states and several foreign countries participated in the 12th annual gathering, held April 10-13, 2023.
Operation UNITE is the educational advisor to the Rx Summit.
The work we do at Rx Summit through sessions, workshops, and networking is all centered around one goal: to create effective strategies for prevention, treatment, and recovery that will ultimately save lives. This is why in 2023 we created the Hope Ambassadors program, to highlight stories of people in recovery, and those who have impacted the recovery journey of others.
